Job Description

We are looking for an experienced commercial refrigeration technician, 313A certified or 313A Registered Apprentice.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial kitchen appliances
  • Produce accurate records of performed work, supplies, and time
  • Effectively communicate options and action plans with the clients
  • Participate in training and maintain working knowledge to keep up with the industry developments

Requirements

  • 313A refrigeration license or registered 313A Apprentice
  • G2 gas license is an asset
  • Clean driving record, G license
  • Basic tools
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented
  • Experience working in commercial kitchens such as restaurants - strong asset

Hours and Compensation

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. Standby rotation after hours. Overtime available

  • Salary:  $32 to $50 hourly based on certifications and experience

Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

Keen Restaurant Services is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to service commercial food equipment. We are in growth mode and looking to add to our exceptional team. We have a friendly, open-minded, collaborative workplace where people can bring new ideas and achieve awesome!

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction
  • Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications
  • Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
  • Participate in machinery installation, repair and maintenance
  • Computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications
  • Prepare contracts and tenders
  • Prepare standards and schedules
  • Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical equipment
  • Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects
  • Technical writing
  • Test machines and equipment
  • Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing and participating in all tasks related to facility maintenance
  • Developing methods and schedules for facility maintenance
  • Responsibly handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance 
  • Coordinating training sessions in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and methods
  • Planning daily tasks and delegating them to Maintenance Technicians and other professionals
  • Maintaining preventive maintenance standards for an organization’s facilities and equipment

Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills
  • Commercial and industrial project management experience
  • Clean driving record, G license
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service oriented
  • Experience overseeing projects in commercial and industrial kitchens a strong asset
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience
