Our Company

Keen Restaurant Services Inc. began in 1985 and is now stronger than ever as we implement new systems and processes to help manage your service call as effectively as possible. We are proudly Canadian with a culture rooted in service excellence.

Our technicians are focused on getting the job done right the first time. Our job is to look after your appliances so you can focus on food preparation and serving your customers. We go beyond the vendor/customer relationship as we partner with you to help drive your success.

Our Scope

We install, repair and maintain all appliances in a commercial kitchen. This includes gas appliances, refrigeration devices, electrical appliances, dishwashers, patio heaters and much more. Click here to access the brands we service. The only item we do not service is the hood vent. Please call your HVAC vendor for that expertise.

Our Team

Our passion for service excellence sets us apart. The objective is to provide a technician who can solve any problem in your kitchen. To that end, each of our service technicians are certified gas fitters, and a portion of them are also refrigeration certified. We are working towards certifying the remainder on refrigeration. Andy Keen (previous owner) is our certified refrigeration instructor/coach. You may see Andy supporting our newest refrigeration apprentice, sharing his knowledge garnered from years of experience!

Our employees strive to exceed our customer's expectations. We are committed, resourceful and work with a "get the job done right" attitude to get you back up and running. We have a collaborative culture in place. This means that our team shares successful results as well as learning experiences with the rest of the team. We all learn together. When you have a Keen Technician on site, know that you have the whole team supporting that Tech via virtual means. We are always working as one.

Our Process

You place a service call with us. We dispatch a technician to your location, diagnose the problem and provide an estimate to complete repairs. Once you approve the estimate we proceed with resolution to the problem. We order parts when required, we notify you of the ETA and you are notified once parts have arrived. We then work together to schedule the completion of the job.

Our call dispatch personnel is focused on capturing the detail associated to your problem. We also strive to understand the impact to your business to help prioritize your call. Our goal is to prioritize our customer's call in the order that they are received.  There are instances however where calls with an urgent matter needs to be prioritized - for example a walk-in freezer not holding temperature that is loaded with product. An excellent way to mitigate this risk is to take advantage of our Preventive Maintenance Program.
